Below is a letter sent by Jean Parrish who summarizes things nicely.
Hello Cub Scout Parents and Leaders,
Pack 404's Blue and Gold Banquet will be held March 7th. Blue and Gold is our yearly traditional family dinner celebrating the Birthday of Scouting. Our Pack also recognizes the leaders and raises funds by holding a Father/ Son Cake Auction. You won't want to miss it! So mark the date on the calendar and start thinking of ideas for your Scout's cake. This year's theme is "When I Grow Up" . Invitations will go out to each Den soon and Cake Auction information will follow.
Planning the Blue and Gold Banquet involves Scouts and families from each Den. The banquet committee arranges for the meal, sends out invitations, develops the program, holds the cake auction and takes care of other responsibilities. Each job is broken down into smaller tasks so it is easy to sign up to help. Volunteers are needed to help make this year's banquet a success. We are meeting Tuesday night, Jan 20th at 7 PM, at Epiphany Lutheran Church (5515 Broadway St) to look at the location and discuss plans. We will meet again on Sunday February 1st to finalize plans. I encourage you all to come to one or both meetings to help make our Banquet a fun event for the Pack.
Please forward this message to each Den. Anyone interested in helping is welcome to contact me by email or the phone number listed at the bottom of the page. Thank you all for your input and support.
